This is my 2nd piece, the cowgirl.
Etched on just a photo frame I bought from Dollar General, which I’m not sure is actual glass. The Dremel really liked to jump on the surface, it didn’t really agree with the material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Found this while searching the internet, I for the life of my can’t remember where, I think Instagram or pintrest ? I’ll look at my browsing history right now to see.

So props to them for the design I blatantly stole.

Below is a few images or the process, I used a website to turn down the threshold of the image and get a cleanish line work so i could print out and put on the glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to redo the stencil a few times, but got it to the point to where I liked it and felt comfortable that it would stay on the glass clearly. The trick is to use the stencil stuff sparingly, but evenly, no globs. Globs = smudging of the stencil. Pat lightly with a paper towel or lightly drag your fingers across it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made this piece on the carport outside my house, on a rackety upside down plant pot, on top of an old dog crate. Its not the best work environment. But I got the job done.
I took a bit longer on this one then my first one, my first piece, the Sacred Heart to me about 30 mins.
This one I took about 1h 30m’s, fine tuning my techniques and what to do, what not to do, it was a learning curve, this piece is not perfect, but its perfect for my 2nd time.

Once it was done, cleaned it up with some glass cleaner and painted a piece of paper the frame came with black paint I had purchased awhile back from walmart. Without a backing, when placed on the wall in the light, it gives off a cool little “3d” effect, the engraving cast a shadow on the wall, and no matter which direction you move, the shadow stays in place.
But, ultimately just decided to put the black paper for the backing to make it pop out a little better, imperfections and all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
